What can I compost?

Basically, anything that was once alive can be composted but there are some things that are best left out of the bin.

Remember you need a balance of greens and browns
(see How to make compost).
Problems can occur when too much of one type of material is added.

Remember that bugs prefer little bits, so try to break up any large bits of twig, or whole fruit and vegetables so that they can get to work straight away.
